Don't Trust Your Children's Lawyer?

Many children complain about how their children's lawyer is not helping them and in some cases actually working against them.  This brochure is for children who are not happy with the services provided by their children's lawyer and want someone else to represent them in court.  The brochure advertises advocacy services some of which may be provided by the Family Justice Review Committee.  The FJRC can provide a referral and/or assistance to help your child disclose on videotape how he/she has felt let down by this government agency and to have the child be represented by someone who will ensure that their wishes and preferences are accurately brought before the court.  The FJRC will also provide information to your child about launching a lawsuit against those lawyers, social workers, law firms and individuals with these agencies who acted contrary to the child's best interest.

Don't Plead Guilty!

A strategy being used by domestic violence courts these days is to manipulate parents (usually men) into pleading guilty in minor domestic violence situations.  This, of course, sets the man's partner to take over the house, the kids and to have control over the father's life from then on.  This also ups the statistics on wife abuse which helps to twist the real truth of domestic violence. Women's groups want to increase the conviction numbers so that they can get millions of taxpayer's dollars to put even more men in jail.   Once a young man has pleaded guilty this can be used against him for the rest of his life.  A good brochure intended to be handed out to those facing assault or threatening charges and even police officers themselves. Generic - three part.

Reducing your risk of LAWSUITS!

Parents and lawyers will resort to almost any tactic to win in court, even misleading social workers and doctors to write letters and make recommendations without making them aware of all the facts.  The purpose is to get letters from professionals which will influence the court's decision.  This however, can result in a child being harmed as a result of flawed information before the court.  Should a child suffer emotional or physical damage as a result then the doctor or social worker may find themselves being sued in court.

This brochure contains good tips for social workers, doctors and other health care professionals who want to reduce their exposure to lawsuits as a result of involvement in custody and access disputes.  Circulate these to doctors and social workers in your community.  Generic - three part brochure.
