Canada Court Watch
Justice News E mail Discussion Group

Welcome to the Canada Court Watch & the Family Justice Review Committee E mail discussion and announcements group

The Canada Court Watch Justice News E mail discussion and announcement group is an non-moderated e mail group which is open exclusively to members of the public by free subscription.  The purpose of the Justice News E mail discussion group is to promote awareness and discussion in the community by allowing members to post messages relating to the family and criminal justice systems in Canada.  If you have an injustice that you would like to alert others about or have a question or problem which others may be able to assist, please feel free to post your message on this group.  Members will often follow up your posting with private e mails to help you. Information relating to individuals or agencies committing injustices is being compiled for use in possible class action lawsuits.

Members of other groups are more than welcome to post events and activities to this  discussion group as long as material is relevant to the subject matter of the this discussion group.

Many may find this E mail group a good way in which to get in contact with others who may be experiencing problems similar to your own. For protection from virus attacks and for the confidentiality of those who join on the list all those who register on the e group will be contacted by phone and their identify verified before placing their name on our list to ensure that all persons on the list are legitimate

Items that we encourage readers to post announcements or make posts on issues which include:

  • Activities or events (meetings or public protest activities) of other groups which support the objective of justice in the Canadian family or criminal justice system

  • The family court system

  • Lost or altered court transcripts

  • Police and Crown Attorney

  • Family Responsibility Office (FRO)

  • Child welfare protection agencies (Children's Aid Societies in Ontario)

  • Office of the Children's Lawyer

  • Lawyers and the Law Society of Upper Canada

  • Court administration

  • Doctors, psychologists, social workers, custody assessors, child "therapists"

  • Canadian Judges - both Federal and Provincial

  • Deaths of children or adults as a result of systemic bias or injustices - such as failure of the family court system, child welfare protection agencies, the actions of the Family Responsibility Office, etc.)

Although many readers may want to mainly tell about injustices, let us not forget those agencies and individuals who have done a good job in promoting fairness and justice in communities across Canada. If you had an experience where an agency or an individual has done something to promote justice and fairness, please do not hesitate to let others in the group know as well and to recommend this person or agency to others.

For those who live in the greater western Toronto, Hamilton and Niagara region, a separate discussion group will be started in 2005 for those who may be interested in discussing meetings and activities specific to that geographic region.  An announcement will be made on the the general e mail list sometime in 2005 for those who may want to have their name added to this local list.
