Advocates for CAS accountability to hold Sept Rally in Huntsville, Ontario
In response to overwhelming public support from the residents of Huntsville, Ontario, advocates for CAS accountability will be holding a second peacefull rally in Huntsville and Gravenhurst, Ontario during the month of September.
During the rally on July 12, 2010 dozens of local citizens approached protest organizers to ask when the next rally was to be help and offering their names to help out at the next rally. One woman who approached protesters said that she had been in care of the CAS for years and has suffered physical and emotional abuse and now wanted to speak out on videotape about her experience.
Neil Haskett has been helping a number of groups from communities in northern Ontario get organized. He told Canada Court Watch that over the course of the summer there have been dozens of protests in various communities across Ontario with many more planned right through the fall.
